Presentation of the project of creating a modern industrial park Kiliya

Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2024) in Berlin
Presentation of the project of creating a modern industrial park Kiliya to be placed at our shipyard.
The industrial park project is no less ambitious than the modernization of the USP fleet.
Due to the war, Ukraine remained without any infrastructure for fleet construction/repair/modernization.
The shipyards in Crimea are temporarily occupied. The industrial base in Mykolaiv and Kherson has suffered significant damage. Odesa and Chornomorsk are actually on the frontline. The shipyard in Izmail has been refocused by its owners on stevedoring activities.
❗️Ukraine’s lack of capacity to repair, build, and maintain its fleet will further slowdown the development of maritime and river logistics.
Currently, the UDP’s shipyard in Kiliya is perhaps the only one in our country which continues to repair and build the fleet.
This is the only option for creating a national shipbuilding base.
✅The Kiliya yard is located 47 km from the Black Sea.
✅We have the equipment, an experienced team of more than 300 specialists, our own water area, infrastructure, and the ability to accommodate new production facilities (we use only 9 hectares of the total 19-hectare territory).
❗️We have already received several offers from foreign companies to set up joint production facilities in Kiliya. Baltic shipbuilders may become the first resident of the Kiliya Industrial Park.

❓Why an industrial park?

Modern European shipyards are usually industrial parks that operate in many areas at once, including
mechanical engineering, metalworking, and equipment manufacturing. The format of an industrial park makes it possible to use its potential as efficiently as possible. By the way, a stevedoring complex has already been created in Kiliya, which is also an example of diversification.

❓What do we offer to the international donors?

The creation of conditions for new residents to enter our industrial park, including the modernization of the slip, investing in modern equipment and an autonomous green energy supply system, and dredging the water area.
The future Kiliya Industrial Park needs a solid foundation for the establishment of production facilities. This is what we will discuss at the conference in Berlin.
