The first self-propelled ship of the UDP under modernization is preparing for launch!

On the motor vessel “Captain Antipov” at our plant, the hull and hatch covers have been repaired.

The hull, holds, and covers have been repainted.

Everything has been restored except for the engines – the propeller-steering complex, mechanisms, pumps.
We plan to replace the main and auxiliary engines at the Austrian shipyard ÖSWAG. The work is scheduled to start in April this year.

“Captain Antipov” will go to Austria with its old “heart” and return with a new one – more powerful, more economical, and significantly more environmentally friendly (meeting Stage5 standards). The engines have already been contracted.

“Captain Antipov” is a pilot project financed by UDP from its own profits. Subsequently, we will sequentially modernize 4 more “self-propelled” vessels that require much more extensive repairs than “Captain Antipov”. The next stages of the program will be implemented with funding from our international partners.

As you can see, the modernization program is primarily about creating new jobs in Ukraine.
The investments attracted to the project will go into the Ukrainian economy. These are taxes and contributions to the Ukrainian state budget, which are so needed by the country during the war.
