Dmytro Moskalenko shared his impressions of his visit to the Öswag Werft Linz.
“During the visit to Linz, we discussed with Harald Böhm the potential for joint utilization of our shipyard in Kiliya. Our partners are currently reviewing the proposal to become one of the first residents of Kiliya industrial park. I am convinced that implementing joint production in Ukraine is feasible even under martial law conditions. However, industrial cooperation with such companies as Öswag Werft Linz is a medium-term perspective.
Currently, the primary focus is on completing the modernization of the Kapitan Antypov vessel. Together with Mr. Böhm, we reviewed the progress of the work. A new exhaust gas neutralization system with AdBlue additive has already been installed in the engine room. The exhaust system complies with the latest European ES-TRIN standard. The UDP fleet will become the most environmentally friendly on the Danube. New auxiliary engines, generators have been installed, and the installation of gearboxes and two main engines is underway.
Currently the project is progressing successfully. There have been no unexpected issues that could hinder the modernization. Therefore, we plan to send three more sisterships Kapitan Antypov series to Linz already this week”
