The transformation involves not only the modernization of the fleet. Business processes, fleet management, accounting, reporting, environmental protection, etc., are also being brought up to global standards.
On the path of reforms, comprehensive support from donors and partners of Ukraine is important.
Last week, I participated in a meeting of the American-Ukrainian Business Council (USUBC). I had the opportunity to share the development plans of UDP with Robert Mariner, the Advisor on Infrastructure at the U.S. Department of Transportation.
I am pleased that our vision finds support among colleagues from the United States. The potential of the Danube as the largest transport artery between Ukraine and the EU is undeniable. However, to increase existing and attract new cargo flows, to maintain transport volumes after the war, significant investments in creating comprehensive logistical chains are needed.
Mr. Mariner and I agreed on an information exchange. We look forward to his visit to Izmail. As they say, seeing is believing.
