Collaboration with IFC means access to leading international consultants. They assist us in aligning our production processes with the best global practices.
IFC operates its own Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS). The corporation provides partners with a diagnostic methodology for enterprises and step-by-step instructions for its implementation. Compliance with the ESMS system is a sign of a modern manufacturing culture.
Last year, our partners pointed out deficiencies in the existing UDP practice of environmental management, safety, and occupational hygiene.
We engaged new specialists and meticulously worked through the partners’ recommendations. For example, previously at UDP, there was no comprehensive policy for waste disposal and sorting. We developed and approved the relevant documentation for the first time, adjusting the process according to international standards.
Significant changes have also occurred in the field of occupational health and safety.
As a result, the shipping company has obtained two certificates for the first time:
- DSTU (National Standard of Ukraine) ISO 45001:2019 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. Requirements with guidance for use;
- DSTU (National Standard of Ukraine) ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems. Requirements with guidance for use; The work continues!
