Positive changes in the labor protection system: over the past year, the number of injuries in the UDP has decreased!

Representatives of the State Labor Service in the Odesa region noted the significant progress of our enterprise in the development of the labor protection system.

For some time, not enough attention was paid to labor protection in shipping. A formal approach prevailed.

Over the last year, we have completely rebooted the system.

In accordance with modern international practices and requirements of the regulatory framework, instructions and methods have been developed. A specialized training system is set up on the basis of our Training Center.

Employees are fully equipped with protective equipment – vests, helmets, special shoes, etc.

So the culture of production is growing. As a result, the injury rate is minimized.

Recently, the shipping company received the first international certificate of DSTU ISO 45001:2019 Occupational health and safety management system. This is evidence of important changes that have taken place at the enterprise.

According to the chief state inspector of the labor safety department of the Department of Inspection Activities in the Odesa Region of the Southern Interregional Administration, Oleksiy Lushchaya, inspections are limited under martial law. Nevertheless, the leadership of the UDP demonstrates a high level of responsibility and takes an active position in the issue of strengthening the protection of workers.

In turn, the general director of UDP Dmytro Moskalenko noted that the company strives to meet not only Ukrainian requirements for labor protection, but also recognized international standards.

“We are a European company operating on the territory of the European Union, serving clients from EU countries. For us, compliance with European and world standards is a mandatory condition for development and participation in international investment programs,” said Dmytro Moskalenko.
