Yesterday, we discussed this at a meeting with Alan Baron, a representative of the European Commission, Manfred Seitz, the head of the Danube Commission, representatives of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), and the Izmail port.
We need to analyze and organize all possible unloading points along the way from Ukrainian ports to Germany. There are many ports on the Danube, but not all have the necessary infrastructure.
As Alan Baron pointed out, the container lines that are being formed today need to be turned into a long-term business project. This alternative route should be developed on a systematic basis.
Alan Baron also informed us about the progress in implementing an anchorage for Ukrainian grain exports in the port of Constanta. It’s critically important to bring the project to completion.
I am very grateful to our international partners and esteemed Ukrainian colleagues who have actively offered their help.
