Lighters (project 1635K)

Number of units in UDP – 86 (79).

Deadweight – 1000 tons.

Class (Shipping Register of Ukraine) – K✦V2 L (Danube).

Average age – 36 years.

Generally not operated. Used as buffers between piers and ships in Ukrainian ports.

Most of the lighters are planned to be used for conversion into new barges under the SLG project (building new barges using the existing barges as sources of parts).

Pontoons (projects 5506K, K563A)

Number of units – 5.

Deadweight 1600 tons (depends on the water level in the Danube).

Class (Shipping Register of Ukraine) – K✦IISP (sea class).

Average age – 39 years.

Used for transportation of oversized and heavy cargoes or containers.

“Desna” type tanker (project 610)

Deadweight 3300 tons (petroleum and fuel).

Draught 5 m.

Class (Shipping Register of Ukraine) — Danube river.

Average age – 38 years.

Number of units in UDP – 1 (in operation).

Service and auxiliary tug (project N035):

Power 1050 hp.

Average age – 55 years.

Used for barge cleaning, towing and observation.

Number of units — 3.

Floating crane SPK-1/35

The length is almost 40 meters, displacement 1224 tons, load capacity 35 tons. Main engine power 530 kW.

Year of construction — 1985.

The floating crane was rented for a long time. In 2023 it was moved from Odesa to Izmail and underwent major renewal. It can be used for the slipway modernization works or for removing barge covers without using portal cranes, as well as for grain transshipment.

The other fleet includes: a dive boat (2 units, 1 of them in operation), a waste collecting boat (4 units, 2 of them in operation), a self-propelled vessel (27 units, 6 of them in operation), a floating crane (4 units, 2 of them in operation), a repair ship (4 units, 2 of them in operation).

Passenger vessels

Number of units in UDP – 5.

“Ukraina”, “Moldavia” (project Q031), number of passengers – 220 (43 years).

“Tysa”, “Dnipro” (project Q053), number of passengers – 200 (52 years).

“Yevhenii Kosiakov” (R51E), number of passengers – 240 (33 years).

Passenger transportation has been unprofitable since 2014, therefore, the fleet has been laid up since 2022.

“Dnipro” and “Volga” remain in Izmail and are used for temporary accommodation. “Moldavia” and “Ukraina” (currently laid up) can be used for river cruises (provided that investments are made in their modernization). UDP is working on the options for rebooting the UDP passenger fleet operation and is open to suggestions.
