River barge and tug convoys consisting of a pusher tug/self-propelled vessel and barges are the main type of fleet operated by UDP.

Typical convoy composition

1 self-propelled vessel + 5 barges (deadweight 9 thousand tons)

1 pusher tug + 6-9 barges (deadweight 9-13.5 thousand tons, depending on the pusher tug power).

24 self-propelled vessels and 204 barges are operated by the company.

Self-propelled river dry cargo vessels

“Kapitan Antipov” type (project M044C/M044D, with durable covers and container mounts).

Shipyard – ÖSWAG, Linz.

Load capacity 1700 tons, power 2100 hp. (2 main engines).

Average age – 41 years.

Operating in 5+1 convoys with a total  deadweight of 9000 tons.

Number of units – 19 (60% (14 units) are in operation /under repair).

River pusher tugs

“Riga/Ivanovo” type (project 4151/4152).

Power 2000 hp. (2 main engines).

Average age – 57 years.

Operating in 6+1 convoys with a total  deadweight of 9000 tons.

Number of units in UDP – 28 (70% in operation/under repair).

“Zaporozhye” type (project N3170).

Power 2475 hp. (2 main engines).

Average age – 43 years.

Operating in 6 (8)+1 convoys with a total  deadweight of 9000-12000 tons.

Number of units in UDP – 9 (80% in operation/under repair).

“Sergei Avdeienkov” type (project 149).

Power 3240 hp. (3 main engines).

Average age – 48 years.

Operating in 9+1 convoys with a total  deadweight of 13500 tons.

Number of units in UDP – 8 (38% in operation/under repair).

“Leningrad” type (project 190).

Power 2530 hp. (2 main engines).

Class (Shipping Register of Ukraine) lost .

Average age – 37 years.

Operating in 6 (8)+1 convoys with a total deadweight of 9000-12000 tons.

Number ofunits – 4 (all of them are not in operation and are planned to be used as sources of hull parts for modernization of other vessels).

 

River barges

Number of units in UDP – 225 (204 in operation).

Projects 190, 1792, 20691, 1635, TP631, F099, 1792, R85, K671, K622А.

Load capacity 1300-1600 tons,  depending on the  water level in the Danube.

The total  deadweight of all of the units (in register tons) is more than 400 thousand tons, 203 of the vessels are covered and 23 are uncovered.

The average age of the barges is 33 years (from 2 to 57).
